This is the Light Programme was a weekly, three-hour programme of in-depth talk and music, interviewing some of the many interesting thought-leaders, teachers, healers and pioneers living in the small yet lively town of Glastonbury. Kudos to Ross Hemsworth for making Glastonbury Radio happen.

Brits in the Middle East
With Colette Barnard and Tom Clark. Collette tells of her experiences while living in Tehran during Khomeini's Iranian Revolution of 1978, and Tom tells us about his experiences in Palestine supporting good projects and his work with backchannel diplomacy in Beirut, dialoguing with Islamists.
Rewilding, Climate Change and Shamanism
With Peter Taylor. Peter, a critical environmental scientist with spiritual leanings, tells us about heart-centred environmentalism, rewilding the landscape and his research into the solar causes of climate change. A lot has to change in human behaviour, yet he says climate change arises only partially from human activity. (Apologies for offstage noises.)
The Prehistoric Transition to Patriarchy
With Bruce Garrard and Sig Lonegren. Sig talks about geomancy, labyrinths and the dowsing of ancient sites, and Bruce talks about his research into climate change and transitional times around 6-7,000 years ago (see his book about it). All about climate change, the rise of villages, war and agriculture, the 'Fall' and the prehistoric transition from matrifocal to patriarchal societies.
Crop Formations
First, we visit some formations so that you can sense what it's like inside them. Then we meet the (tragically) late Janet Ossebaard from the Netherlands and Rod Bearcloud, a native American from Sedona AZ, two croppies attending the Glastonbury Symposium of 2006, a crop circle conference. We discuss the significance of crop circles as a medium of contact with higher intelligences. This is all about energy-fields, paranormal phenomena, the star nation people and funny things going on in the fields of England.
Meet the Bard of Glastonbury
With Dearbhaile Bradley, at the time (2007) the Chaired Bard of Glastonbury. She's a true warrior soul and, like me, she has one foot in the world of spirit and one in the world of politics and society. Dearbhaile tells about Bardism, about her experiences growing up in the conflict in Northern Ireland, about the Save Tara Campaign (saving a significant sacred site in Ireland, threatened by a motorway), and the Goodwill Patterns (a peace process of the heart). She also recites some of her inspired poetry - after all, she was the Bard of Ynys Witrin (Glastonbury).
Past Lives 1
Palden welcomes the late Atasha MacMillan (Atasha Fyfe), then a Glastonbury regressionist, to talk about past life regression. She shares her experiences of what happens when you do a past life regression, and what life-enhancing insights, benefits and results come up. We discuss the connections between our lives today and deep memory of previous and even future lives.
Past Lives 2
With Palden. This was the first part of the three-hour programme with Atasha, in which I impart some of my own thoughts and experiences. A deep-level near-death experience I had at the age of 24 changed my life, and past life regression has been a part of my path.

The Goddess, Womankind - and a trip to Tibet
With Kathy Jones, a prominent Glastonbury character and a leading advocate for the Goddess. She has been the organiser of the Goddess Conference, initiator of the Goddess Temple in Glastonbury and creator of the Priestess of Avalon trainings. She's a healer and cancer-recoverer too. Not long before appearing on the programme she had been on pilgrimage in Tibet - and she'll tell us that story.

Spiritual Gardening
We meet Ark Redwood, at the time the chief gardener at the Chalice Well. He shares his experiences and insights into nature and growing things, sustainability and what it's like being a gardener in an energy-filled garden-temple, the Chalice Well. Ark is a really interesting greenfingers who goes far beyond the norms of organic gardening.
The Musical Muse
With the late John Cartwright, a rock musician, and classical musicologist Tim Shuker. John and Tim discuss what makes music captivate and transport people, and its deeper mood-altering effects and entrancing aspects. Here we penetrate into the magic of music and its psychological aspect as sound and vibration. Interesting and thought-provoking listening for any musician or music lover.

The National Interest
With Palden Jenkins. All about the collective unconscious, the light and shadow of nations and the way that nations behave toward each other. Written in 2003 on the eve of the Iraq War, at the time of the 2026 Iran War this deep-psychological view of international relations is worth another spin.
Brean Down - an esoteric field trip
Palden takes a trip to Brean Down, a headland, power place and prehistoric cliff sanctuary on Somerset's west coast, overlooking the Severn Sea. In former times, visitors to Glastonbury coming by boat would first land at Brean Down - it has seen some interesting people pass by, possibly including even Jesus.
All my life I have originated new ideas and perspectives, dedicated to perceptual healing - helping people see life in a different way. It's about relieving mental-emotional damage from education, media, groupthink, conditioning and trauma - damage that skews our thinking. This radio series is an expression of this work of deepening and broadening our thinking. Quality general knowledge for intelligent seekers far and wide.
For rights reasons, the music and jingles had to be removed from the radio programmes, shortening them by half, from their three hour length. The interviews are really interesting and worth a listen, so I have re-edited them in a new format, as Recycled Light.
At the time Glastonbury Radio was in its early days, with makeshift facilities, so the technical and studio quality wasn't high.
Yet the content was special and unrepeatable. We discussed matters you'll never hear on the BBC! That's why the best of these interviews are being recycled once again.
