jerusalempeacemakers.org

The purpose of this site is to raise support and funding for a network of independent peacemakers in and around Jerusalem in the Holy Land.

Jerusalem Peacemakers

The site serves both as a general site for the peacemakers and their cause, and also as a bundle of personal sites serving each peacemaker individually.

So it's really a portal, a collection of websites under the same address.

It contains pictures of the Holy Land and real life there, plus recent reports of peacemakers' work, and fundraising facilities (lower down).

The fundraising section allows people to make credit-card contributions online, or to take out a monthly standing order for small monthly amounts which, over a year, add up to a significant contribution to the project as a whole or to an individual peacemaker of their choice.

Below is the entry-page to one peacemaker's site, belonging to Ibrahim Abu el-Hawa of the Mount of Olives, East Jerusalem.

Here's the site for a Palestinian women's activist living in northern Israel, Ibtisam Mahameed.

This is the site for a Jewish peacemaker, Eliyahu MacLean.

This one belongs to Sheikh Bukhari, a Muslim leader living in the Old City of Jerusalem.

And this belongs to a radical rabbi, Rabbi Menachem Froman.

This site was designed and run pro bono, as part of Palden's humanitarian work in the Middle East.
